Standing United Against Antisemitism |

Alpha Omega Foundation US Founding Member of the American Jewish Medical Association |
| Alpha Omega was born from a powerful mission: to combat antisemitism. Founded by two small groups in Philadelphia and Baltimore, the Alpha Omega Fraternity grew into a community that championed the values of unity, resilience, and advocacy. |
Sadly, the same antisemitism that brought Alpha Omega to life over a century ago persists today—in workplaces, educational institutions, and even among former friends. This is a global fight requiring all of us to come together in support of one another.
In response to this ongoing challenge, a new healthcare organization, the American Jewish Medical Association, was established. With a mission echoing that of Alpha Omega and recognizing our shared purpose and history, the Alpha Omega Foundation US has proudly sponsored the Alpha Omega International Dental Society as a founding partner of this important organization. Together, we aim to unite healthcare providers in the fight against antisemitism and to ensure a strong, supportive community for all.

On January 17th, members of the Alpha Omega met in Ramla, Israel for a dedication of two ambulances purchased for the Magen David Adom. The one ambulance, a global collaboration between the AO Foundation of Canada, AO Foundation of the United States, and The AO London Charitable Trust, with the support of the AO International Dental Society, showcases our strong commitment to the people of Israel. The second Ambulance was from the Belgium, French and Swiss Chapters. These ambulances mark a monumental step in our collaborative mission to support the people of Israel under the Alpha Omega International Alliance of Charitable Organizations. |

Help Provide Psychological Services to Dental Students and Faculty Overcoming Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
We invite you to join the International Alliance of Alpha Omega Charitable Organizations in supporting the establishment of a dedicated fund at The Maurice and Gabriela Goldschleger School of Dental Medicine at Tel Aviv University and the Hebrew University-Hadassah Faculty of Dental Medicine.
The PTSD fund, yet to be named, will provide funding for psychological services to dental students and faculty suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) as a result of the October 7th attack. Both Tel Aviv and Hadassah Hebrew University dental schools are in need of financial support for these services and it is our responsibility as Jewish dentists to support the dentists in Israel who are suffering. |

Advocacy Playbook: Pushing the Right Buttons "I just know how to deal with the players different now. You've got to learn as a coach, and especially first year with new players, which buttons to push, and how to push them, and when to push them." - Sam Mitchell

Mazal Tov Dr. Thierry Roos, Strasbourg AO member, for being knighted into the prestigious Legion of Honor on January 5th at the Château de Pourtalès in Strasbourg. This honor is a testament to his lifelong commitment to family, community, and justice. |
Throughout his career as an Endodontist and professor, Thierry’s devotion extends far beyond his profession— from honoring the memory of his family members lost in the Shoah, tirelessly combating contemporary antisemitism by organizing the 2022 Strasbourg rally against antisemitism to establishing a memorial garden for the unknown victims of the Shoah. His courage in addressing the atrocities of October 7, 2023, in Israel and advocating for peace and justice exemplifies his unwavering dedication to humanity.
Please join us in congratulating him on this well-deserved recognition and celebrating his incredible achievement. |

Mazal Tov, Dr. Barry Schwartz, Canadian AO member, on being awarded the Ethics and Professionalism Award for his contributions in promoting ethics and professionalism in dentistry. To send Barry a tribute from Canada, please visit the Canadian Foundation by clicking here.

Why should you support the tribute program? The income from the tribute program is essential to fund smaller, yet impactful initiatives. Without this support, we wouldn’t be able to respond to the many requests we receive from chapters and partners across the United States and Israel. Every dollar from tributes directly supports these initiatives, empowering us to make a difference where it matters most.
Help make a difference today! |
