The Alpha Omega Foundation of the United States (also known as AOFUS) is a professional membership association for individuals who are qualified dentists, dental students, and others affiliated with the dental industry. AOFUS takes data privacy seriously and below are AOFUS’s policies and practices regarding the collection and use of member personal data. Data privacy is a continuous responsibility.

How Member Data is Collected and Used
AOFUS collects personal information about its members. This information is limited to the kinds of information that can be found on a business card: first name, last name, job title, employer name, work address, email, and phone number. The information to provide members and customers with services, including membership services, privacy and data protection content, meetings, education, etc. AOFUS does not sell personal information to anyone and only shares it with third parties who are facilitating the delivery of AOFUS services.

Websites collect data and the AOFUS website collects certain information automatically and stores it in log files. The information may include internet protocol (IP) addresses, the region or general location where a computer or device is accessing the internet, browser type, operating system and other useful information about the use of the AOFUS website, including a history of the pages you view. AOFUS uses this information to help us design our site to better suit our users’ needs.
Security of your information
AOFUS maintains physical, technical, and administrative safeguards. AOFUS updates our security technology on an ongoing basis. AOFUS restricts access to member personal data to those employees who need to know that information to provide benefits or services. AOFUS trains our employees about the importance of confidentiality and maintaining the privacy and security of your information.
Data storage and retention
Member personal data is stored by AOFUS on its servers, and on the servers of the cloud-based database management services AOFUS engages, located in the United States. AOFUS retains data for the duration of the customer’s or member’s business relationship with AOFUS. Changes and updates to the Privacy Notice
The AOFUS Privacy Notice and Conditions of Use may change in the near future as its policies and procedures are analyzed and updated. AOFUS reserves the right to amend the Privacy Notice and Conditions of Use at any time, for any reason, without notice to you, other than the posting of the amended Privacy Notice and Conditions of Use at this Site. AOFUS may e-mail periodic reminders of our notices and terms and conditions and will e-mail AOFUS members of material changes thereto, but you should check AOFUS.ORG frequently to see the current Privacy Notice and Conditions of Use that is in effect and any changes that may have been made to it.
