The Alpha Omega-Henry Shein Cares Holocaust Survivors Oral Health Program

The Alpha Omega-Henry Schein Cares Holocaust Survivors Oral Health Program provides free comprehensive dental care to economically vulnerable Holocaust survivors, enabling them to eat without pain and smile with the dignity they rightfully deserve. In exchange, we engage in the valuable experience of learning and sharing their stories, encompassing both the horrors and triumphs, for which we are truly grateful.
Peace Begins with a Smile
The Alpha Omega Foundation helped establish a children's care center and an oral maxillofacial center at Ziv Hospital in Safed, Israel. Ziv Hospital has cared for over 1,500 Syrian individuals, many of whom were children, who arrived in dire conditions at the Israeli border by foot. With the assistance of the Israel Defense Force personnel, the individuals were brought to the hospital and treated by the Israeli doctors who helped them and cured them. This powerful initiative not only provided critical medical care but also fostered a shift in attitudes among individuals from both sides of the border, who may have previously been influenced by inherited biases. By delivering high-quality treatment with compassion, it has helped cultivate hope for peace and mutual understanding.
