The Alpha Omega-Henry Shein Cares Holocaust Survivors Oral Health Program

The Alpha Omega-Henry Schein Cares Holocaust Survivors Oral Health Program provides free comprehensive dental care to economically vulnerable Holocaust survivors, enabling them to eat without pain and smile with the dignity they rightfully deserve. In exchange, we engage in the valuable experience of learning and sharing their stories, encompassing both the horrors and triumphs, for which we are truly grateful.

Peace Begins with a Smile

The Alpha Omega Foundation helped establish a children's care center and an oral maxillofacial center at Ziv Hospital in Safed, Israel. Ziv Hospitals has cared for over 1,500 Syrian individuals, many of whom were children, who arrived in dire conditions at the Israeli border by foot. With the assistance of the Israel Defense Force personnel, the individuals were brought to the hospital and treated by the Israeli doctors who helped them and cured them. Despite initial apprehensions of perceiving Israel as the enemy, the Israeli doctors extended their expertise, helping to heal and rehabilitate these individuals. The result was evident with the individuals shifting their attitude towards Israel and creating an attitude of hope for peace through these compassionate actions.
